Daria Kyryliuk is a Ukrainian model, influencer, and entrepreneur who has made a significant impact in the fashion industry. Founder of Verano Swimwear, she is recognized as a role model for young women globally, promoting self-love and emphasizing the importance of eco-friendliness for a sustainable future. Starting her modelling journey at 18, she has collaborated with renowned brands and photographers worldwide, leaving a mark as a modern and empowered woman. With a commitment to self-care, Daria’s daily routine revolves around simple yet effective practices, and her beach-inspired brand, Verano, celebrates the joys of life and the spirit of summer while advocating for environmental consciousness.

Can you tell us about your journey in the fashion industry and how you started your modelling career at such a young age?

DK: My first modelling photo shoot was at the age of 11. It was a birthday gift from my mom since I always dreamed of being a model as a young girl.  Afterwards, I was working in Kyiv, Ukraine, apart from my schoolwork. At the age of 18, I moved to Los Angeles, where I signed with a modelling agency and began to work.

Your collaboration with Tony Kelly for British GQ gained a lot of attention. Can you share your experience working on that project and how it has influenced your career?

DK: Tony is one of my favourite photographersHe’s very charming and kind. It was a pleasure working with him. Every time we had a photoshoot, it was a lot of fun, even though the shoots were extremely long. We could shoot one photo for 15 hours. But it was worth it.

As an entrepreneur, you founded Verano Swimwear. What inspired you to create your own beach and swimwear brand, and what sets it apart from other brands in the market?

DK: I worked a lot for swimwear brands, and I always paid attention to the quality, fit, and materials. Afterwards, I got an understanding of how swimsuits can change your body, embrace it, and make you look more confident.

Your advocacy for self-care is well-known. Can you describe your self-care routine and why you believe it is important for feeling confident and beautiful?

DK: I work out five times a week, combining gym, pilates, and tennis, and for me, it’s a lifestyle that I never want to change. Also, I’m taking care of the food I consume. I’m trying to eat enough protein and cellulose in my daily life. These two things give me incredible results.

How do you balance your busy schedule as a model, influencer, and entrepreneur? What strategies do you use to maintain your well-being and draw inspiration?

DK: I believe that if you love what you are doing, you will not work a day in your life. Everything I’m doing makes me happy, and I enjoy every step of it.

Your recent swimwear collection from Verano was featured in a Vogue Ukraine campaign. How did it feel to see your brand recognized in such a prestigious fashion publication, and what impact has it had on your business?

DK: I feel very proud for my brand and our team to have achieved this goal after almost two years of work.

Environmental sustainability is another cause you actively promote. Could you share some practical tips for individuals to adopt a more eco-friendly lifestyle and make a positive impact on the planet?

DK: It’s very important to sort junk and stop constantly consuming products that you don’t really need. The problem in our society is that we buy more than we need.

With your modelling career, brand entrepreneurship, and influencer status, you have become a role model for young women worldwide. How do you handle the responsibility that comes with being a role model, and what message do you strive to convey to your followers?

DK: My parents raised me to always be independent and rely only on myself. Of course, I have big goals, and I’m not planning to stop at this point. I’m proud of my archives as a 26-year-old girl, but the more the merrier.

You have worked with various brands and photographers in different countries. Can you talk about any memorable experiences or projects that have significantly shaped your career and personal growth?

DK: Modelling definitely strengthens my character at such a young age, since you travel a lot and have to take responsibility for yourself. I remember shooting swimsuits outside at minus temperatures or getting a wake-up call at 5 a.m. to work for bridal dresses on the streets of Rome. Changing on a street and eating fast food while you have a short break. Modelling sounds like an easy job, but honestly, it’s not easy physically.

Looking ahead, what are your future aspirations and goals in the fashion industry? Are there any specific projects or collaborations you hope to pursue?

DK: I’m planning to grow my swimwear brand and add summer dresses and accessories to it. Also, we are planning to expand to the USA, as we already sell in Europe and the UAE.
