On the 24th of September, at 11 pm, the doors for James Vitas’ birthday party opened. The 500 models and Vitas had already arrived prior. By this time, the line to get in was indescribably long. People were eagerly waiting to enter the jaw-droppingly glamorous penthouse found in lower Manhattan.
For the first hour, guests were taken back by the venue and were going through the three floors taking photographs.
To put it into perspective on how many people were there, there were ten girls for every guy at the party…Sounds like every man’s dream.
However, hundreds of people were denied entry at the door due to the fact Vitas wanted the event to focus on the guests who were exclusively invited and to avoid over-crowding. I guess you can’t blame people for trying to get into James Vitas’ unbelievably extravagant party.
Starting off the night was the beautiful and talented, Brazilian model, Mioniki. Mioniki opened with a loud, electric DJ set that got everyone energised. Rachel Winters and headliner Felix Cartal followed after Mioniki’s set, playing a range of rock music combined with house background tracks. This combination is something that Cartal is known for, proving to be exceedingly liked – even by James Vitas.
American Rapper SAINt JHN arrived as the clock struck midnight, heading straight to the green room where he according to The NY Post had a shrimp cocktail that he had requested to be ready on his arrival.
Police had to barricade the street until SAINt’s arrival, to control the terribly busy traffic.
SJ had requested to have a quiet and private entrance, he and his entourage waited until the elevators were completely empty in order to arrive. SJ performed four songs, causing the crowd to go crazy – screaming, cheering, and chanting. Every song he finished, they wanted more.
Felix Cartal played until 4 am. He was so engulfed in his set, that by the end of the night it was just him, his four friends, and the staff party. He didn’t want to stop! Ending the night just right.
